What time are the council's meetings?
The council meets on the first Thursdays of each month at 7:00 PM at the Bothell Hall for business and the last Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Bothell Hall for planning.
Is there a dress code at the meetings?
There is no formal dress code for our business meeting and our planned events (unless posted otherwise in the event information). Business casual is the typical dress.
Note: The 4th Degree dress code maybe different. Local meetings in the 4th Degree are typically business casual. However, attendees should consult the notifications of other planned 4th Degree meetings such as exemplifications, banquets or events.
Are donations to your council tax deductible?
he Knights of Columbus is classified by the IRS as a 501(c)(8) fraternal benefit society. If you have any question regarding your donations and their tax situation, please contact your tax accountant or tax preparation professional.
Can I rent the council hall?
Yes, the council hall is available for rental and can accommodate up to 200 guests for your wedding or event.

Who can join the Knights of Columbus?
First note that applicants to the Knights of Columbus must be 18 years of age or older and in communion with the Holy See, and they must accept the teaching authority of the Catholic Church. Beyond participating in the various service fields, members are eligible for life, long-term care, and disability insurance.
How can I join the Justin Garvey Council?
There are two ways to join our council.
- You can reach out to any member or officer of our council expressing your desire to join. Our members and officers are more than willing to help you complete a membership application form which will be processed at the next meeting. Following acceptance into our council, the applicant is expected to attend an exemplification ceremony. The applicant will be notified as when the next ceremony is scheduled.
- An interested applicant my join by going to kofc.org and signing up as an “E-Member”. After completing a membership application online, the applicant will become what is known as an “E-Member”. His information will be sent to our council as an interested member. Our council will contact this “E-Member”, welcoming him and then schedule an exemplification ceremony that the “E-Member” can attend.
